Dick Metcalf is one of a handful of tireless supporters of underground musicians whose advocacy for artists has been ongoing for 30+ years. Along with reviewing thousands of independently produced albums his own music discography must easily number several hundred, including a large number of collaborations.
Dick and I worked with each other throughout the years, lending a hand to our various efforts. He was publishing his Improvijazzation Nation zine online in the early years of the web and continues reviewing today.
