GAJOOB #4 Review (1989):
Two white guys do two rapp songs about how cool they are….. Give me a fucking break! If this wasn’t so inane I might be able to laugh it off.
GAJOOB Review (2023):
This is the kind of review I look back on and question now. Why didn’t I talk about how know how to “lay down the rapp”? Also it sounds like they were having a great time. It’s a fun tape.
I think my review was more a reflection on the promotional company’s methods. TRS was a purveyor of this over the top pitch. There were a few promo mills slinging everything they had my way. But I think TRS was really just trying to help get their artists a step ahead of where they might get on their own.
