Archive Item #5073
The main purpose of doing those was not to limit access to the music, but to make a unique recording that I wouldn’t have to mass produce. Or rather, mass production to the extent that I am able to do it. I think of those as akin to unique artworks rather than, say, prints where there are numerous copies run off.

More Finds
I also uncovered four more one-of-a-kind minidiscs by Tom Furgas in the Ken Clinger archive. Unfortunately none of them are recognized by my CD device. I’ll them handy and keep trying. I’m finding CDR’s are generally more prone to retrieval issues than cassettes. One of the perceived benefits of CDR’s was supposed to be their longevity, which turns out is certainly not the case 30+ years later.
