The Wright Brothers’ Printing Press

The Wright Brothers, Orville and Wilbur, are famous for their monumental contribution to aviation as the inventors of the first successful airplane. However, before they took to the skies, they were printers by trade.

The photo showcases a vintage printing press, a significant piece of equipment in the printing business that the Wright brothers were involved in before their aviation days.

Before they made history with their pioneering work in aviation, Orville and Wilbur Wright operated a printing press. They even launched their own newspaper, “West Side News”, which was printed on this very press. This historical artifact is a testament to the brothers’ entrepreneurial spirit and mechanical aptitude, traits that would later prove crucial in their aeronautical endeavors.
