Tapegerm first started as an offshoot of homemademusic.com early in 1999. I was featuring cassettes on pages with a set of loops offered to visitors to download and create something new. Soon there was a bunch of artists doing it and it evolved into us sharing our own loops in a central pool and lots of cool music and friendships developed.
